Small arcade. Serious collection.
Owner James Srnec started with a rare Ms. Pac-Man cabaret and went all-in. The collection grew to more than 70 cabinets spread between his home and storage—whole floors of the house becoming a private arcade—before he began renting games to local arcade bars.
In late 2022, James opened Vintage Vault in Mukwonago, choosing the community for its family-friendly character. Today, the unassuming arcade overlooking Phantom Lake gives that collector-built lineup a public home—and gives everyone the chance to explore it for one all-day price.
Since then, James’s collection has grown to more than 200 arcade games and 50 pinball machines—and he’s already looking ahead to expanding Vintage Vault into a larger building, with even more of the collection available to play.
Golden-age essentials sit beside a deep 1990s lineup, modern releases, Japanese machines, cult favorites, and unusual games most arcades never put on the floor.
Machines are wiped down daily and inspected monthly. James handles most repairs himself, sometimes spending hours tracking down one stubborn problem so every control and monitor feels right.
The cabinets provide the atmosphere: enough room to play, a welcoming all-ages setting, and a lineup built for curious newcomers and serious enthusiasts alike.
“A genuine old-school neighbourhood arcade… easily a 10 out of 10.”— The Arcade Blogger
